The Prisoner of Heaven, which is being published in Spain by Planeta today, will be released in hardcover in the UK on 21 June 2012 and is the third in the cycle of novels that began with The Shadow of the Wind and The Angel's Game.
The novel returns to the world of the Cemetery of Forgotten Books and the Sempere & Sons bookshop, which Carlos Ruiz Zafón first wrote about in The Shadow of the Wind. It begins one year after the close of The Shadow of the Wind when a mysterious stranger enters Sempere & Sons, looking for a copy of The Count of Monte Cristo.
