Orion Children's Books are delighted to have two authors nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal 2012, Alan Gibbons for An Act of Love and Annabel Pitcher for My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece.
The Carnegie Medal was established in 1936, in memory of the great Scottish-born philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie, and is awarded annually to the writer of an outstanding book for children. The full longlist can be viewed here. The shortlist will be announced in March 2012, and the winner in June.
