We are delighted to announce that The Tiger's Wife by Téa Obreht has been shortlisted for The Orange Prize for Fiction 2011, the UK’s only annual book award for fiction written by a woman.
This is a truly excellent accolade, particularly for a debut novel, and it is the first time that a novel published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson has been shortlisted for the main Orange Prize. The winner will be announced in a ceremony on the 8th June.
Celebrating its sixteenth anniversary this year, the Orange Prize celebrates excellence, originality and accessibility in women’s writing from throughout the world. Visit the website.
