Congratulations to Lady Antonia Fraser who has been awarded a DBE in the New Year Honours List for her services to literature.
Now one of our leading historians, Lady Antonia began her writing career in 1969 with a biography of Mary Queen of Scots. The book broke sales records for a publication by a female historian and launched a critically-acclaimed and glittering career, which has included biographies of Oliver Cromwell, Charles II and Marie Antoinette.
Her most recent work, Must You Go?, a moving and sensitive portrayal of her marriage to legendary playwright Harold Pinter, will be published in paperback on 3 March 2011.
