ITV1 drama Downton Abbey scooped up four awards at the annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, including one for its creator Julian Fellowes in recognition of outstanding writing in a mini-series, movie or dramatic special!
The programme, which airs on US network PBS, also received awards for Best Mini-Series, Outstanding Directing, and Best Supporting Actress for Dame Maggie Smith.
The second series of Downton Abbey is now airing on ITV1 on Sunday evenings at 9pm.
Julian Fellowes’ novels Snobs and Past Imperfect are currently available in paperback as well as in a special omnibus edition.
