AP McCoy is one of six authors shortlisted in the ‘Sports Book of the Year’ category at this year’s Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards for 2011, announced on Thursday 20th October. Unquestionably the greatest and most successful jump-jockey of all time, AP McCoy has collected a record sixteen Championship titles in succession and in his powerfully honest new book, My Autobiography, he looks at what life is like a the very top of National Hunt Racing.
The public vote has now opened and you can vote for AP McCoy here. The winners of the Irish Book Awards will be announced at a Gala Dinner on 17th November at the Royal Dublin Society, with the highlights being shown on RTE Television on 24th November.
