Ian Rankin is inviting fans to join him at an exclusive event in aid of Royal Blind, which is to be hosted at the famous Caledonian Brewery on Friday 2 September 2011.
The evening will follow the same award winning format as last year’s event, which won a Scottish Event Award as Best Charitable Event. This year Ian will give a sneak preview from The Impossible Dead, which is the second of the Malcolm Fox series to be published in hardback and eBook by Orion Publishing on 13 October 2011.
Following the reading the audience will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session hosted by TV presenter Stephen Jardine. The evening will include a raffle and auction of exclusive Rankin memorabilia and to finish this very special event Ian will meet and greet guests and will be available for a short book signing session.
‘Last year this event sold out within 24 hours and raised over £10,000 for Royal Blind’ said Helen Forrest, marketing manager at Royal Blind. ‘We are really privileged that Ian Rankin, Stephen Jardine and The Caledonian Brewery have all agreed to host another event for us with support from The Scotsman and Orion Publishing. Tickets are strictly limited for the event, due to brewery restrictions but for those lucky enough to attend we hope they will really enjoy the whole occasion.’
Tickets for the event are priced at £60 and will go on sale on Monday 18 July 2011.
