Robert Baer

Biography

Robert Baer is an ex-CIA agent and the author of four New York Times bestsellers. His memoir, See No Evil, was turned into the movie Syriana. George Clooney, who played Baer, received an Oscar for his performance. Baer is Time.com's intelligence columnist. A British documentary series Baer hosted, The Cult of the Suicide Bomber, was nominated for an Emmy award. He's written articles on assassination. One was for a Wall Street Journal weekend piece, "A Perfectly Framed Assassination." The other for GQ, "A Dagger to the CIA" - the story of Khost. In 1995, while still in the CIA, the FBI investigated Baer for an assassination attempt against Saddam Hussein. He was exonerated.
