How to make permission requests
Permission requests must be made in writing and sent by post to the Rights Department at the address below, faxed to: + (0)20 7836 4266 or emailed to rights.enquiries@orionbooks.co.ukWe receive a great many enquiries and it is very important to apply in good time. We aim to respond within six weeks. PLEASE DO NOT CHASE US FOR AN ANSWER BEFORE THEN.
We must have the following information about the material you wish to use:
- Title and author of the book you wish to quote from
- Imprint (e.g. Gollancz/Orion Fiction/Orion Children's Books/Weidenfeld & Nicolson/JM Dent etc)
- The number of words or illustrations you intend to use (if it is an illustration please check first on the copyright page that it is not credited to another source).
Please also ensure that you include the following information about your publication:
- Title
- Author
- Publisher
- Publication date
- Territory for distribution (e.g. UK/Commonwealth/Europe/World etc.)
- Print run and price
- Nature of your proposed use of our material in this publication.
